Global payments network Mercuryo announced that it has added support for Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ripple (XRP). Mercuryo has added support for Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP, Fantom (FTM), USD Coin (USDC), and Litecoin (LTC) to its payment network.
The company relies on cryptocurrencies to process fast and efficient cross-border payment transactions. The payments network managed to raise $7.5 million in a funding round led by Target Global last June.
Founded in 2018, the payment network has partnered with firms such as Binance, Bitfinex, Trezor, Bithumb, and Trust Wallet. The company aims to make digital assets more accessible by creating payment solutions on crypto.
Mercuryo partnered with the DEX aggregator 1inch last May to enable fiat on DeFi. Another partnership of the company was with the payment network bridge Volt.
Mercuryo emphasized that the XRP token is very important for cross-border payments, noting that it is used for fast and cheap payments. The London-based company has announced that it will soon open a new office in the US and will continue to expand in the country.
